Thanks. I don't do anything special for finer grain. Sometimes it's more noticeable than others. I think negative size and scaling the image down by an order of magnitude from the scanned size is the main factor. When I use Delta 3200, for instance, I see less grain on posted images from a 6x17 negative than a 6x9.
