I've added some things to mine. I must admit the first thing I do if I see a post that's interesting or controversial is to try and find a link to the poster's work. If I can't find anything I normally limit the amount of credence I give to their opinions.

Okay... but this goes against my fine reputation as an avid lurker.

I assumed everyone filled out the information when they joined like I did.....I was surprised to discover that almost no one has even the part of the world they live in filled out.

I think the software has some built in features for groups within the larger group. Over at APUG we started a Tonopah Workshop group that kept everyone current with news and later had a gallery of images that came from the workshop experience. So even if they choose not to exploit that or be exploited by it, the possibility shows up in your profile. My profile at APUG shows I'm in the Petzval group and the Tonopah Workshop group.

Ditto. I wasn't aware we had such a thing. Could have been an update to the forum software since I joined (which was a very long time ago).

Ok, I listed my cameras. Now get off my back!
Nothing beats a great piece of glass!

I leave the digital work for the urologists and proctologists.

Jim, now that you have divulged your secrets, what do you think of that vintage 1964 Gaevert Contactone?

It is superb. The scary part was I bought a big outfit from a guy not far from you to get the Ries that was with it, and that box of paper was included. I threw it in the trash and thought to myself later, I ought to at least check it. Contactone sounds like it might be a chloride paper like Azo, so I pulled it out of the trash, and exposed a 4X5 neg exactly like I would with AZO and it was perfect. Then I tested for fog and it was perfect. Color me happy! It is Gaevert without the AGFA which dates it at least to 1964.

AHA!! That's Jim's real secret! He's been dumpster diving this whole time! Paper, lenses, film, cameras, probably chemicals, too.
