    Question Lens-Hoods.

I want to buy a lens hood for my 240mm Nikkor-W, but not sure what or where to buy.
Any suggestions? It takes 82mm filters if that's any help.

Why not look at the Lee Filters system?

Thanks Joanna, I have just posted the same question on the UK LF forum, then noticed your reply here. I had forgotten that Lee-Filters also produce lens-hoods.

Yes, the Lee system. They have an 82mm adapter ring.

What camera do you have? There may be a compendium shade solution that would work for all your lenses.

Ambico used to make an inexpensive compendium shade, and there are a lot of used ones popping up on ebay. I have 3 of them in case one breaks; they fold small, are lightweight, work pretty well, and can be had for $10 or so.

Thanks for the replies. I am considering the Lee Filter system with hood, but still not quite sure yet.
The graduated neutral density filters look interesting.

    No answers, Keith,

I just thought I'd say hi to an old friend.

    Hi Lynn,

I didn't know you posted here on the LF forum.
Do you use lens-hoods on your large-format lenses?

I've done quite a lot of experimentation with hoods and wrote an article you might find helpful: http://web.mac.com/razeichner/RAZP_l...hade_pg_1.html
