    Japanese photography in Lugano

A heads-up for those that are, or will be in Lugano, Switzerland, some time before February 2011: there are two photographic exhibitions that promise to be very interesting.

Araki, Love and Death is a big retrospective of his whole career.

Yet even more interesting is the Ineffable Perfection Japan’s Photography 1860 - 1910 exhibition: it is the biggest ever exhibition of hand-coloured albumen prints that were the big rage in Japan's late 19th century export products to Europe… Some pics from the exhibition here (Italian only, sorry).

So I have to visit Lugano one more time, like it anyway!

    Thanks for the tip!

Super. Reminds me of old Asian paintings. I wish I could make a print like that.
