Iceland: Winter Tour 2011
with Bill Schwab
January 31 - February 8
*Limited to 8 adults with only 2 spaces remaining at this time.
Having returned from another successful trip to the West Fjords of Iceland a little over a month ago, It's time again for another journey there and this time it's a winter trip. And not only will we be photographing in the beautiful, winter light of Iceland, there is also the hope of seeing and photographing the Northern Lights**. The dates have been chosen to encompass the New Moon so our nights will be dark and hopefully clear affording the best opportunity to witness this wonder.
The complete itinerary is now available online for download at the following link. As with all of my trips to Iceland, it is pretty much all inclusive allowing for easier budgeting of the trip. It includes roundtrip airfare from the chosen US departure city, a private room with bath each night and a dinner meal as well as breakfast each day. It also includes all transport within Iceland.
Come join me on the photographer's adventure of a lifetime! Iceland is a unique, world of wonders and with its eerie winter light , the season can be a wonderland for the photographer.
This is not a workshop - no class time, no critiques - just some serious, intensive exploring and shooting in what I truly believe to be the most wonderful and pristine places on earth to photograph.
More information HERE.
Thank you and I hope you can join me!

(**Although April and Oct have the highest probability of Aurora activity due to the orientation of the earth's magnetic field, it is primarily determined by the Sun's activity and winter is traditionally the best time for the lights in Iceland due to the long, dark nights. Judging by past experience, February can be fantastic!)
