    No More Lupe!!

I just had a new pair of glasses made for me by my Optometrist. I asked that they be made so that I can focus at 13", using both eyes. Then I wanted him to build in a bifocal on the right eye only, with a focusing distance of 7". Now I can use both hands on the camera while focusing my 8x10 Deardorff and can speed up the whole process of fine focusing. It should be very helpful with portraits.

Now you need soft focus lens, and you will really say "no more loupe".

So you were thrown for a loop? Or just loopy?
Nothing beats a great piece of glass!

I leave the digital work for the urologists and proctologists.

I've been meaning to do the same. Hopefully they won't charge me $500 like they did for my flexon glasses that just broke in half.

Ouch!, I just looked at my bill. Sorry Vinny, but it was somewhat over 500.00. But I did notice they gave me a free eyeglass case.

I got some reading glasses that work pretty well for $12. Just played with them at the rack in the drug store.

I bought a pair of 2.75 at the drugstore for $12.95.

Though I still keep the Toyo hanging around my neck.

I have pretty poor distance vision, but that makes me able to focus just past my nose without glasses on. I probably look a little funny with my face pressed up against the ground glass.

That used to be the case with me until my cataract operation, now my distance vision is ok and my close vision is crap, I now use +3.5 dioptre reading glasses for ground glass focusing I also purchased mine from the chemist (drugstore} for about £5 ($8)
