I have a 4x5 Pacemaker Speed Graphic that has a bad shutter... the camera (1953) is in pretty good shape. somebody in the past has taped the 250/125 slit together... (and poorly I might add)
Is it possible to replace with new shutter cloth? Do I just raid from a beater with a good shutter?
what are my options? or do I just sell it off for parts?

I have one of similar vintage with a bad focal plane shutter. I still use it though - with the lens' shutters.
I bought another one with a good working shutter for $150 and it's too pretty to travel about with me daily, but I'll use it when I get around to using a barrel lens with no shutter. That solution was easier for me.
See if the curtain can be restored by sewing it together.
