    Epson 4900 has been announced in the UK

    November availability, I read.

    With no hope of support for QTR users and other thrid party OEM RIPS since Epson has choosen to lock them out. Kind of takes the sheen off of their announcement.

    Did they announce that they're locking out third party RIPs? How did they lock them out?

    It will be pricy--considerably more than the 4880. I think I read $2400, but can't remember where.

    Funny, it's not listed on Inkjet Mall's website. Did the newsletter mention anything about pricing in the US or the size of the printer?
