And a nice Dallmeyer 3A marked for soft focus went for $1,606. #270900578407

BTW, Dan, why are no Imagons listed on your data page?

Imagons are fairly common and a bit later lenses, so I havent tracked them...

    Old for me is 1840's

The Imagons didnt arrive until the late 1920's.... see http://harrysproshop.com/Imagon/imagon.html

Even in the Soft Focus world, the Imagons are fairly recent....

But "soft focus" didn't officially arrive until Dallmeyer's 1866 Patent Portrait, in 1866, and even that was aimed more at speading the depth-of-field than what we think of as soft-focus.

The Imagons well preceded the Veritar and Kodak Portrait lens of the 1950's, not to mention the 21st century Cooke PS945.

Yes Mark... I'm just saying, Imagon's are "newer" lenses compared to collecting world of early (non-SF) American lenses and cameras. But even in the SF world, the Imagon is not an early SF lens design Other than the Dallmeyer PP lenses, the main period of SF development is 1900-1930

    As, too, was this: 330684353952

A few spots/nicks on the rear element shouldn't worry a SF lens.

I had a bid ready on that one and pulled it at the last minute when I discovered it had no actuator for the shutter. Parts for those shutters are just a huge problem. Wish someone would go in production. even if they were pricey, at least you could factor that. The fact that there just are NONE is trouble. Makes it worth quite a bit less than the same lens in a barrel.
