Need help with Delta 100 (4x5) / PyroCat-HD dev. times

I have already looked at the massive development chart and that is probably a good starting point however I want to see what our members are doing with this combination.

Please don't suggest I do my own testing, I've done plenty of that with other films and I just don't have the time for this project.

I only develop my 4x5 negs using hangers so times for tubes are of no use to me.

    Thanks for your help.

    Eric

I don't play the piano, I don't have a beard and I listen to AC/DC in the darkroom. I have no hope as a photographer.

I use 9 mins with a 1:1:100 dilution in trays. This works very well for me, I'm not sure how the tray development with translate to tanks though.

Eric, probably the biggest advantage of Pyrocat-HD developer is that you can give your film adequate exposure to maintain detail in the shadows and develop it to completion without blowing out the highlights.

Expose Delta 100 at box speed. Place the shadow areas (where you want to maintain detail) in Zone III (two stops less than your meter reading).

Of course you will need to dial in your ideal developing time, depending on your temperature and agitation pattern.

A good starting time is 10 minutes at 70F. Adjust to your liking from there.

Like you, I use S.S. hangers and dip-and-dunk in tanks. I continuously agitate for the first minute. Then for 15 secs. every 2 min. Total of 9.5 min.

My negatives are coming out great for scanning.

I looked at my notes last night and realized that my time was 11 mins, not 9. Sorry for the mix up.

Boy you guys are going to think I'm bonkers. Delta 100 (ei 100) in Pyrocat-HD 1:1:100 for 18 minutes at 68 degrees. Yes, 18 minutes. In Combiplan.
