    Huge grain????????

I had some Fuji 100 acros 4x5 negs processed in Ilford ID11 and two of the negs are very grainy. The sky in the prints are very grainy the negs are properly exposed and show good detail in shadow as well as highlights. So what is the reason for the grainy sky??? The negs were processed by machine.I don't get it.

"two of the negs are very grainy"

Is it grain, or reticulation ?

"The negs were processed by machine."

Whose machine was it ? If someone else did the work, they may have accidentally changed the temperature by a large amount, and caused reticulation, which can look like grain.
