A rail mounted gun in Newport News, VA. It was shot on 4x5 with a 150mm Nikkor; I strengthened the perspective with some back swing.
From Yorktown, VA. As with the previous image I added a touch of back swing to strengthen the perspective. Apologies for the dirt: I posted this one on flickr before spotting it.
I just remembered this old thread, and suppose my Civil war cannon shots would be better here than in landscape. This is from a federal line at Malvern Hill in VA, taken with a wide angle lens and plenty of front tilt. I tried to stand a skosh higher to drop the cannon muzzle below that dark line in the grass, but I just couldn't get myself or the tripod up there, and couldn't shift left without mucking up my composition. Next time I should bring a drum riser along. Or grow.

This one is a different angle from the same federal line; I moved it here from the landscape thread.
This time I swung the back slightly for exaggerated perspective and then the front to focus on the row of cannons.
