    Andreios, the way you print and tone these images is perfect for the subject matter. They feel to me like pictures of "lost time", which is something that only photography can do, I think.
    Where are we going?

    yes...that (albumen-like) tonality - the movements (or slightly out of focus) in the leaves at the left, plus the subtly bright sky which, for me, equates somewhat to ortho film - works so well in concert with such an "archaic" subject.

    Joe, Dugan, John, thank you so much.
    I am quite happy with the print indeed - the day I was there was extremely windy, most of my other negatives were either spoiled by it or indeed not even exposed because of the wind.
    I normally try to avoid toning prints in such a way that they could be labeled as "retro", but in this case the prolonged bleach to tone up to the midtones worked quite well.
