    Kerosene Hat, Thanks for the Anasazi ruins, one of my favorite subjects. I'm more attracted to your "Pueblo Ruins" because I've seen similar images of "House on Fire," but your Chaco image is more individual. I've got a bunch of Chaco and other Anasazi images I've made, but none look like your framing and take on the Pueblo Ruins.

    Peter, thank you for the compliment. I struggled with several other compositions at Chaco - it's hard to capture the magnitude of the place and the awe one feels. I kept reaching for the wide angle and then finally reached a longer lens and ended up pleased with this composition. This was early morning at the larger ruin site, as part of a Steve Simmons workshop of Historic Sites in the Southwest. I look forward to returning to Chaco - what an incredible place to (not) sleep for a night under the full moon. Hopefully, there are no more oil & gas drilling permits issued close by...
