    Hello from the baltic coast!

    Hello from the baltic coast!
I'm not exactly a LF-newbie but my experience is rather limited. In the late 90s I bought a 4x5 viewcamera, a superwide and a normal lens and some accessories to capture buildings and industrial facilities before they got teared down. It wasn't a very well thought-out purchase and I greatly underestimated the time to set-up the frightening large viewcamera. Result was a camera resting for about 10 years in it's case.
Last year I re-discovered the joy of playing with mechanical, analogue cameras and shaking Jobo-drums like there's no tomorrow. A few weeks ago I finally pulled the 4x5-camera out of it's well-padded prison and managed to load some sheets of expired Agfapan APX 100 into holders.
Now I'm hooked again and hope to expose some 4x5-sheets from time to time and maybe a roll of 120 too. I don't have a proper darkroom now and have to develop the negatives in the bathroom - sadly there's no space for an enlarger, not even a 24x36-model.
I hope to benefit from the bunched wisdom here and maybe I'm able to contribute something useful too.
My english is limited just like the movements of a Kodak Brownie Box so please be gentle with me :-)

    Thanks for the „welcome“!
It's a 4x5 F-Line Arca-Swiss, beautiful made but large and heavy as hell.
    The lenses are a 150/5,6 Apo-Sironar-N and a 72/5,6 Super-Angulon XL.
I've found this site while searching for informations about lenses in the 105-125mm class.
I'm really impressed by the amount of know-how here.

Welcome! You think this is heavy? You should see what some of the 8x10" using guys here carry around, not even speaking of the ULF guys :-)

    Thanks!
Maybe I have to assist an ULF-photographer for a day - my 4x5 would feel much less cumbersome the next day...
Some days ago I've looked at a friends neat Horseman FA - and was impressed by it's portability.

    Welcome!

I'm one of the lunatics who drag a 8x10" camera around - or a 24x30cm plate camera. Or a 4x5, or a 9x12cm, or several at the same time.

    But no Arca-Swiss.

It does indeed and rightly so. Although some reeducation is still necessary, "heavy like hell" is not compatible with the true love of these creatures...
