12 out of 24 reviews give it one star.
Personally I like the Iphone for scene reference shots and making a quick pic which can be referenced for date and time.
I also have the Theodolite program which I love that gives GPS coordinates and takes screen shots to map where I saw a potential image in the event I want to coe back to a place I am not sure of where I was and don't have time to set uo and take a picture.
It meters by taking a picture first and then reading the values of that captured scene to get a meter reading. Nevermind any internal brightness/contrast adjustments iPhone is doing without telling this app. You would probably be better off carrying a manual exposure guide around.
I have it and I've checked it out, it works fine and gives an excellent result. I also have a Pocket Spot by Metered Light, the best you can get. It doesn't save the photo taken to get the exposure.
