Thanks, Clay. As you may have seen I did a little mini-series this week of houses in my neighborhood decorated with lights. With this house I couldn't get back far enough for the framing I wanted because this truck was in the way. I tried to shoot over the hood but that wasn't working. As I was starting to take the camera off the tripod I saw the way the lights reflected off the hood and--voila! Lemonade from lemons, as they say.

Not quite abstract, but not quite anything else, either. Taken this afternoon.

This little pool was frozen last week, but not any more. It's been in the 60's the last couple of days around here.

And now for the color version. It's a bit overexposed since I wasn't sure how much reciprocity to account for and how much speed loss there would be with film from 1998. There was also a terrible magenta cast (as expected), but it didn't take much to correct it in PS.

A re-work of a rejected negative from a few months ago, newly cropped and toned. (Unfortunately, it looks like the JPEG compression cocked up the toning a bit, at least on my screen.)
