Randy, that's awesome. It reminds me of the cloud pictures by Alfred Stieglitz.

Thanks Christopher - just in case any wondering, shot hand-held with Graflex Series D 4x5. Used a Wollensak 15" Raptar Telephoto.

    Randy,
"Clouds" is a fine, strong image. So strong that, as a native of the Southeast, I immediately had the feeling that it was time to quickly go inside before I was fried by lightning.

Here is an image I captured 30 + years ago. It was an epic summer storm over the crest of the sierras in Yosemite- as it was passing over my location it dropped about 3 inches of hail. After it passed, the skies momentarily cleared and I got his image of the explosive thunder head.

Very nice, Len. How fortuitous that there was also the other cloud behind, filling the upper left corner of the frame.

Thanks for the complement on my image. That cloud in the background was another thunderhead that had collapsed. The sierras are a great place to be in the summer when tropical storms come up from mexico and swing around the east side and move westward. The hot air rising off of the granite can heat he moisture and take it to 40,000 feet high. That is when things get exciting. When you get a brief break in the rain is when you can capture the big clouds.
