Hmmm good point but no, no threads in the back. I actually used a larger filter with a step up ring.
That's good Randy I should do that. The fact that I am shooting at f45 makes the filter almost in focus.

I have SO MUCH to look forward to................(newbie buying first box of film and first chemicals this weekend). Somehow the "stuck together" of LF is much more interesting than the (*^$%&&^% stuck together of 135-36 in a wire developing reel.
Here is what happened when I didn't pay attention to the keeper on an 8x10 film holder. The dark slide slipped out when I grabbed it to unload the film. The dark bands on the right are shadows from my fingers. A second accident happened a couple of minutes later, another accidental dark slide slip, to the same shot in another holder for "insurance." Murphy's Law rides again.
Well, it is 5x7 at f45 with a multicoated modern lens. Sharpness is to be expected. Keep in mind Flickr sharpens the hell out of smaller uploads too.
Some kind of fixing issue:
Obvious: Forgot to turn the holder around
A digi pic of the neg on a light box......the lens flare in the upper right was the problem with this shot. My "dark slide lens hood" didn't make it happen.
