Whenever I get a PM from a very low or non Poster I try to redirect them to the main forum to make a public question Post
Saves my time and everybody can learn from any LF post
even if they disagree

I peruse this forum on 3 devices just about every day. In my opinion, a lot of folks have been around long enough where they have enough knowledge where they don't feel they need to monitor the forum so much.
In my case I need to do more photographing and developing and less lurking here.
I first started with LF in the mid-80s and joined the forum the first time in the late 90s. I’ve worked out most technical issues for my way of shooting, so most of my time here is spent looking at the photos others have taken.
This forum has been a lifesaver many times. Photography is kind of like fishing to me, everybody has their “rig” and “system” and no two are alike. For me, it’s a little bit of what this guy said, a little bit of what that guy said, a lot of mistakes, and I slouch toward the results I am after. Without this forum, finding what this and that guy said is a whole lot more difficult.
I think we should ban Donald Trump from this forum. Just because everyone else is doing it...
