a warm hello from a frigid Idaho

Hello everyone! I am brand new to this forum and even newer to the world of large format photography. I am reading everything I can get my hands on and I can't wait for my crown graphic to arrive. If anyone knows of any groups in the Idaho Falls area please let me know, because I am dying to get some first hand experience and meet others who love photography.

Howdy! If you don't have it already, Steve Simmons book 'Using the view camera' is a good read.Helped me a lot in the beginning.Be sure to comb the archives here too.Lots of great info can be found from the great folks here.

I just checked it out from the library here and you sure are right! I can't wait to start applying some of the things he talked about.

I especially found the film reciprocity tables to be very helpful

Welcome, By Idaho standards I'm local, just 145 miles away. I live in the Challis and Stanley area. We're somewhat isolated here, I only know two ex-large format users. So this forum is a wonderful place to lurk around in. There are a couple others from Idaho that post here now and then.
If you're up this way, look me up.
