nothing was done but invert the negative .. the color rendition (that looks like spent color film ) is in the negative.

How was that expired in 2001 film stored? It looks great - shot at normal speed with normal processing? I have quite a bit of film I had in my refrigerator when I basically stopped photography in 2012 or so. Not sure how good any of it may be (especially the color, of course.) I have a fair bit of the "Legacy Pro" that was really Plus-X in 35mm and I hope at least that is good. I have an unopened box of 4x5 original Delta 400 from back when they made Delta 400 in 4x5, that in the freezer compartment - frozen since purchase except for driving it from TN to GA when I moved. No idea whether or how good it is.
I have no clue how the 2001 films were stored. Shot them @200 (normal speed?) with normal processing. I think your films should be fine. If you ever want to unload them, I will be interested.
