. . Shoshone, Wyoming. The railroad, mining, and ranching town's climate is one of the driest in the Mountain Time Zone; occasionally less than 4 inches of rainfall annually. The central core area suffers decay as commerce relocates to outlying areas.

Reinhold, the perspective of this image is amazing and puts the viewer in the photograph. My clothes are soaked and I feel I am looking through Clint Eastwood's eyes as Robert Kincaid in The Bridges of Madison County.... Francesca is sitting in the truck looking back.

Shot in the early 70's but don't remember which camera, lens and film. Probably on my Crown Graphic 4x5 with the 90 f8 Super Angolan and 135 Xenar.

Very cool--Patrick Sullivan's has definitely stood the test of time. Otherwise, if you've not been by lately, Old City continues to gentrify by the hour, with "Happy Holler" along Central even acquiring (after the better part of a century) a patina of respectability. Great for the tax rolls, I suppose, not so much for the photographer...

8x10 orbit, 250mm fuji, rollie 100, pyro hd, contact print, with a lot of bad dodging and burning and masking to turn day into night. Contact prints are hard to work with.
