    Favorite photographer websites

    Folks
I'm endeavouring to set up my own website in the next 6 months.

I have a pretty well defined idea what it is I want it to be, and do -- a forum for my film/fine art images (B&W film, mostly) as well as a portfolio for my newspaper work and sideline portrait/wedding work, too.

Just looking around to other sites for inspiration, ideas and examples. What are your favorite sites, ones that impress you with clean simple design?

    many thanks
    Colin

This comes up every once in a while, and I never miss the opportunity to pimp my friend Mark Mahaney's site.

I did this same sort of thing when I was redesigning my site. You might also try combing through the member list here, some of my selections below are from that same type of effort.

Some are all flash, some non, some mix, and some of these I bookmarked for specific reasons like the title page, logo design, or gallery layout.

I really like the simplicity of Struan's site.

Doesn't seem to sacrifice anything for its cleanness.

Nothing to do so I'll go through my bookmarks and find a few I like to share

Don't know if this guy is known or not but I like his site
I really don't care for lots of thumbnails small or large and hate those scrolling/hover thumbnails ..I like to click into a new full size photograph and be surprised
    http://www.bernhardhartmann.de

A bit more stylized than Keriks but same thumbnail whatever
Don't know why they have to be numbered, though

I don't like scrolling down a page through 75 images or clicking into new pages for more of the same

I like the no million separate galleries as well as the full screen photo to photo. Too bad the arrow moves depending on size on photo
