I was referring to an FM antenna outside.....and bringing the signal via shielded cable into the unit (not thinking about cell tech), sort of the way you brought your phone line in. I have no idea about the interference of the metal mesh, as I've never been in this situation, but apparently Faraday Cage (as it states) it's not impenetrable. OK, if you bring in radio (music) from outside via cable and you get nothing but crackling, I can totally see your point.

Les, I just don't want to drill more holes in it. Already had to make 2 for the fresh water feed and the drain line, plus a much smaller one for the phone line. Besides, most of the FM around here is county music or gospel-and I hate both of those with a passion!
For my darkroom, I bought a 10x12' Tuff Shed and finished it out inside. I installed a 60A subpanel and ran all electrical for lighting, outlets and HVAC. I insulated and hung drywall for the walls and ceiling (with rafter storage). Tiled floor and backsplash for sink area. Painted, finished and equipped. All told, took about 6 months to complete. Here are a few pics of my efforts:
View from the outside
Enlarger, library and HVAC (AC/heater mini-split)
Sink area, tanks, washers, wet chem storage
Finishing counter; drymount press, dry storage.
For safelight, Thomas Duplex hung from the ceiling; plug controlled by switch near door. Music provided by Onkyo bookshelf system in the 'library.'
Darkroom is quite spacious, allowing 2 or even 3 people to work at different stations without rubbing elbows.
Both Darkrooms are very nice and well thought out.

Very nice darkrooms, well thought out. My space is 8 x 11' and houses a 5108, an LPL 45, a 6' sink, a print dryer and storage. L

Very nice job. I’ve been thinking along this line for a long time, did you plumb water as well?

Thank you. Oddly enough, this was easier and cheaper to do than to extend out the closet I was originally going to use. And I think it gave me a lot more space to use.
No, I hired a plumber to do the heavy lifting. He pulled water from a hose bib in the backyard and ran the line to the shed. We put a ball valve on the feed for emergency shutoff. He also tied the drain into the house drainage, so it all goes into the sewer. The nice thing about doing like that is that I can reverse it if I ever need to.
