My plumbing mess cleaned up. Cleaned up some bizarre plumbing I did as a quick, temporary, setup that ended up being over 5 years. While doing that I put in a dedicated RO system, bigger tank so I don't have to haul RO water from the upper level down to my darkroom in gallon jugs. It's a nice unit, but of course there was a broken fitting. I was able to locate a part, took it all apart to get to the severed fitting. Now it works great. What a luxury. I'm going to try to figure out a way to collect the effluent water. I won't use enough to matter, but like a water softener these use water to flush the system

Which extractor fan is that? it looks very similar to the one I installed in my darkroom (mine is made by Dayton); I think mine might be a bit smaller and not as heavy-duty as yours.
Yes, this fume extractor is a capacitor start motor. Harbor Freight dust collection system. Way too much. I need to open the door to the darkroom. Too much negative pressure will cause problems with the furnace. It's on my list to review. It does work great with toners.
Firstly I am honored that I am a part of this grat community! I fell into love with analog photography some 5 years ago and from humble achievments I slowly evolved and wanted proper darkroom ever since I developed my first roll of film in a bathroom. All take some time so after lot of research and preparations I recently finished my regular darkroom after almost 3 years of preparations and getting all the stuff. Now after several weeks of burning-in I think that it is time to show it to others as well. Here are some photos! Please forgive the mess - I was just in a middle of preparations for kallitype and got lot of things dancing around...

It is light with small incandescent 15W bulb - safe light for alternative techniques or an inspection light for assessment of a print. Actually there are three such a lights - two single bulb on each side of wet side and one double in a middle. In this way I can control the intensity independently on which place in a sink do I work.

I use a wireless control to turn on or off 5 lights, including 2 safe lights
but no longer bring a cell phone in...

Here's my small bare-bones operation -- a converted bathroom in my basement. Years ago, my father-in-law (rest his soul) built the work surface over the bathtub. It's hinged and swings up and out of the way for hanging and drying prints. My trusty D2 with cold light head rests on a cabinet from Lowe's. Note the homey lamp next to the exhaust fan. A narrow built-in cupboard (originally for towels) to the left holds chemicals and other do-dads. It's pretty basic, but it serves my modest needs.
Cozy indeed and very workable as long as keeps the light out. What size is that sink?
