Thread: Slip on focal plane shutter

  1. #81

Re: Slip on focal plane shutter

There are few competing versions at the moment and a number of other projects ahead of the shutter.
Most likely candidate is behind or in front of the lens leaf shutter version.
Traveling curtain version has some benefits as well but shutter is a project that will require significant testing and resources to do properly.

Chroma Cameras seems to be working actively on a shutter. I don't see a timeline for availability.

Re: Slip on focal plane shutter

Just started reading the thread. A slip on adapter sounds nice but maybe adapting an existing leaf shutter would do just as well.

SK Grimes currently has my Ilex #4 shutter with a request to make an adapter to allow it to be a rear mounted (behind the lens) shutter for some lenses I have.
It will also be possible to use it as a front mounted shutter for others if needed.
