damn, really nice... do these plates really look this good? On do you have to adjust it in anyway? I'm really tempted on trying this, just don't have the money for it...

I must admit, they look pretty reasonable. Sometimes I adjust the contrast slightly from the scans, but it's as likely to be down as it is up. I tried to do a digi-snap of the last two I posted next to an Ansel Adams book to show the true tonal scale, but couldn't get the glare off the book. But maybe you can tell something; this is un-photoshopped:



Bear in mind, these are unvarnished, and wil pick up a little more "richness" (and "dust") after varnishing.
