third times the charm
first two attempts at a salt print failed - this one is not perfect but much better, I am guessing it needs just a little more exposure to get some black into it
since the house was built in 1830, a salt print seemed appropriate

The summer solstice just passed, and I pulled the wooden box pinhole that I've had sitting in the window since the winter solstice down to scan the solargraph exposing inside it.
Already replaced the camera, as well as a cylindrical paint can pinhole next to it, for 1 year exposures to be pulled on the 2022 summer solstice.
The magic you are looking for is in the work you are avoiding.

Imsonegative. I love that composition. It really works.
...Dilettante! Who you calling a Dilettante?
Very cool--I'm starting to set up to do some kallitypes so I monitor this thread closely. (FWIW my next door neighbor here in the Knoxville was born in Copperhill in the 1920's--"Daddy" worked on the L&N--apparently getting out of that country on old Hwy. 68 wasn't for the faint of heart.)
