Meanwhile, here are a couple more successful efforts with Argyrotype from me. As before, both 8x10 contact prints on 11x14 Bergger Cot 320 paper in Lotus printing frame; Chamonix 810V and Nikkor-SW 150 f/8 (FP4+ processed in Pyrocat HD / BTZS Tubes)

So far all exposed with sunlight. I'll try to get a lamp setup soon to get some more done. Work getting in the way somewhat...!
Nicely done, I like the eyes peering at you from the back wall.

Have been working all summer toward a show in Nov called Materiality/Process at the Durham Arts Council. I intend to present images in different Alternative print medims. These are some I've done this year. Clockwise: Cyanotype, Kallitype, Salt, and Gum Bichromate. Negative created by contact printing silver positive on to 8x10 Kodak Ektascan B-ra X-ray film

Crinkly perhaps (as is the tree itself) but the print has a wonderful presence. Well seen and well done!

Yes very nice, x2 with the salt print, although all very good.
Just curious did you have to use a low contrast print to control the contrast with the xray film?

Ektascan is made for detailed radiology and is single emulsion so it has a much finer grain and softer curve than regular 2 sided xray. The print you use does matter but I've used normal contrast prints to make fine negs with this particular film

That's a wonderful comparison, many thanks. By now I have only minor experiences with cyanotypes & kallitypes, with mixed results. Sun exposure is way unreliable, so I'm in the process of building a kind of UV box. Hope it works.

UVbox is the way to go for sure
