What I could have done is to have the camera back so I feed the film holder in from the right for the right image, then turn the back 180 degrees and feed the film holder in from the left for the left image. That would put the end of the films with the notches on either end of the panorama...sort of balanced, if one includes the rebate.
My GG has no lines or grid pattern, and it has cut corners -- neither situation especially advantageous for lining up two halves of a two-part panorama. But I was willing to be a little loose with that. I have two sets of negatives -- this set I trimmed the rebate off the notched end of the left image -- along with just a touch of the image. I do not think I would have had the guts to trim the neg if I did not have another set...but if I am going to crop, I go for it all the way! I am not done printing it yet...still some fun to have with it.
