Thumbs up couple of bellows questions

I am in the process of cleaning up an Agfa 8 x 10 camera recently purchased. The bellows look OK and light tight but as yet untested with film. They are a bit grubby mainly dust and a few bits of dirt so I will be cleaning with a damp cloth and then cleaning with Pledge as recommended here for my Speed Graphic, unless I am advised against.

Also on the bellows at the top of the camera there are three tags attached to the bellows. I assume they are to hold the bellows up if they droop to stop vignetting. Only thing is I cannot figure out how to do this. Can anyone explain how they are supposed to work?

    Thanks in advance

I think they are not to hold up the bellows but to shorten it, in that way it doesn't sag and gets into your way.

Archphoto is right. There should be a hook or post on the front standard that the tags hook onto.
