1) What do the envelopes shown at the left of threads mean?
2) I'd like to see some color identification of threads started over 6 months previously. Apparently I'm too stupid to always notice the date on the orignal post.

I'm pretty sure the bright red envelopes indicate "hot topic" - lots of responses, or at least more than usual in a short while.
