Shutter release cable and copal 3 shutter

I read it here, that ppl suggested that every lens (shutter) should have a cable release attached. I have cable release attached to copal 0,1 shutter all the time. But with copal 3, the cable is perpendicular to the shutter, make it not easy to pack the lens. Does anyone pack the copal 3 shutter with cable release?

I do. It saves fussing in the field. The fact that the attachment is perpendicular hasn't ever caused me a problem in packing.
