    Hi from Italy

Hi, my name is Edoardo Gennaro from Vercelli, in the north of Italy.

I shot in black and white, in the beginning in 35mm, then 6x6 and 6x9
and in the last year I'm trying to do something good with 4x5" and 8X10".

For printing 8x10" films I modified a Cambo 8x10 camera to become a 8x10 enlarger.

I think I'll learn many things on this forum.

    Thanks to all members.

    Edo

PS excuse me for my english...

    Please excuse my Italian.

I left my heart in Siena!
When I grow up, I want to be a photographer.

Buon giorno, Edouardo. You and I can be "new" members together. Your english is excellent...perfetto. I have a good friend in Santo Stefano Ticino. He is an attorney and a military officer and he also plays in a wind band (um...gruppo di musicisti che utilizzano gli strumenti di vento). In fact, he just sent me a CD of the band.
    Ciao,
    Jon

    Re: Hi from Italy

    Thanks to all.

Tuscany is a great place to shot, Firenze, Siena, Ravenna the Chianti zone is really beautiful.
But if you can, go also in Umbria, near Tuscany, and go in Assisi and Gubbio.

Santo stefano ticino is near Milano, and is at 50Km from my house.
    Italy is little...

For all of those who want come to italy, please avoid Abruzzo
because of a terrible earthquake in L'Aquila which done near 300 victims and near 20000 people without a house.

    Re: Hi from Italy

Ciao from another italian guy! (I'm from Triuggio, near Milan)

Not my intention to spam (in case I ask the moderators to delete my message, no problem), but I think that it's an important news for the large format community worldwide...Edo, just to let you know that now there's also an italian website (with a forum) devoted only to large format photography (I'm the webmaster together with Roberto Manderioli from Ferrara):

    http://www.fotoavventure.it

    Ciao!!

    Marco
