    My Website is Done...I think...

After a year of ripping the hair out of my head trying to figure out how to make a website, I finally have something.
The site isn't completely finished as I still have to type and link a lot of pages for the Japanese crowd. I type real slow in that language!
Cheers and thanks taking a look.

    Hi Andrew,

congratulations for your new website! Great images!
One thing that I find distracting is the fact that the font turns from white to grey, shortly after a page has been loaded. I have difficulties reading the grey text.

    Regards

Cool thanks. I agree the grey font could be a little lighter (more white). Otherwise, I like the photos. I almost went to the University of Victoria (Geography) if it's the one in BC. I got accepted at two graduates schools in 1975, there and Western Washington in Bellingham. I chose the latter for the RA/TA and my (then) wife wouldn't get work until she got the work permit in Canada, but I always wondered since they had the better profs and program.

Nice images. The navigation works well except that I was looking for a "previous" button to use when my spastic mouse finger clicked to the next image before I was ready. Also, the print info page is almost unreadable. I hope this is taken as constructive criticism; it's a nice site.

You win a free course of hair replacement therapy!

Did you mean "nihongo de" rather than "nihon de"?

The "About Andrew O'Neill" page renders garbled in my browser - IE7 on Windows Vista.

Beyond the home page, the header always says "About Me".

Congratulations on getting this off the ground - looking forward to seeing this evolve. Gambatte ne!

Nice work. I have to agree about the font color. I can read it, but it could be a tad lighter. The thumbnails could be a bit bigger but that is always a double edged sword.

Very nice photographs Andrew. On my browser (Opera) I could read "About Me" but the sentences were disjointed and garbled. Also, when I clicked on "More To Come" my computer hung up (could be the computer, a new one is on its way).

I knew it! I had a feeling the text would be too light. I should have listened to that inner voice. I'll fix it. I'll try making it just slighting off white. I find white a bit on the strong side.
The preview or go back to previous image button will be made shortly too.
As far as garbled text, I really don't know what to do about that...
Thanks for the input gentlemen! I'll fix and then get lost in my darkroom for a while.

Okay. I added "previous" buttons along with the "next" buttons and makes it a lot smoother. I still have to add these buttons to a few other areas. I also increased the opacity of the text so hopefully it'll be easier to read. I left the titles very transparent. It is so time consuming this website thing!
