    No more diffraction??

The scientists at http://thefutureofthings.com/news/66...ze-images.html claim to have developed a method to eliminate the phenomenon of diffraction.

Might this mean I could stop my 65mm lens down to f128 and get the known universe in focus?

I'm still hunting for the unknown universe.

    Beam me up. Grin.

I'd just go with a Scanning Electron Microgram. You only need a vacuum for that (rather than a “electromagnetically induced transparency medium.”)

There is also diffraction with an electron beam. But the apertures can be much smaller as with a Dagor or so.

Yes, a little bit of a compromise
