*** Notice the columns leaning on this....need to check my negatives - this might actually have been shot with my Mamiya 6, which can render astonishing levels of detail. Will remove & move to MF image sharing if necessary ***

Great shot Brandon! I've been over that bridge a few times and wondered where a good vantage point might be. You nailed it with the sailboat in the frame. The water also looks spectacular.

Thanks, Bryan! I was really fortunate w/ the light breaking through the clouds & sailboat in the distance - the light was gone just a few seconds later. Flickr wants to bump the contrast via the link, so there's actually more detail in the highlights, but oh, well. A photogenic bridge and one with a nice landing for photographers to set up & shoot.

    Folks,

An image taken back in late June at Llyn Bochlywd, Snowdonia National Park, Wales, UK. I was camping by the side of this lake which is in a hanging valley next to a well-known mountain which I probably have a unhealthy obsession with! Anyway, the sky was clear and not right for grand mountain views. Drudging back to my tent disappointed I was taken with the reflected light in the lake, the stones and the reeds in the water.

This is a great take on the reeds-in-pond subject. Oddly, there's a lot of visual busy-ness in the picture, but yet the viewer feels tranquility. Very nice.

The best pictures are always near water or in the mountains. This is the Chicago River from the Western Ave bridge on my way to work.

    Wow, Roger. That's terrific!
