    I like that "near - far" technique as well. But what I really like even more about the photo is the portrayal of
    vastness, loneliness, abandonment, and a damn tough life.

    Very nice--I've bookmarked a lot of your photos since beginning my own LF fixation over the past year. (FWIW, I've spent a fair amount of time back on the upper Bald River...they've tucked away some big country in the upper reaches of the Tellico watershed.)

    Had meant to shoot Ektar 100 in the sun here, but by the time I got to the spot and set up it was sprinkling.
