Well done, Mr. Rusis. Beautifully seen and photographed; wish I could see a real print. Keep up the good work.

Maris that's a beautiful print!
I find I am drawn to and overwhelmed by this image. It is somewhat chaotic for me. I love the tree shadow details. I find I am drawn into the light and the bending water at center left, and tend to stop there.
Eyes generally drawn from bottom to top and then out of the image.
I'll send you my shipping address and $50 and you can mail it to me. Are you including lenses?Originally Posted by Rory_5244
This is really an amazing image, quite full of emotional expression, though I cannot quite understand exactly what is making it so.
It is quite graphic, which I'm drawn to, which may be part of the equation, but the areas of light and dark, with the interplay of the blur, makes this an image that's (a) easy to look at but (b) hard to see.
I think of the story of Hansel and Gretel.

Flooded Forest, number1 was lucky. The forest floods only every 4 or 5 years and the water stays for a fortnight or so. There is a lot of scattered infrared under a forest canopy but the negative still required an exposure of 15 minutes at f16 on a still day. The first generation of new mosquitos had emerged and I got dozens of bites; worth it though. Before chancing a rare 8x10 sheet of infrared film I did several preliminary studies on IR roll film. One of them is posted in the medium format IR section.
