When Water’s Edge is the river valley.

I parked down there, hiked up here. (Days like this, I wish my Ries tripod was carbon, not wood.)

In the crop, my car is behind those trees on the two-track road. I didn’t think about concealing it, just lucky it turned out that way.

The 5:00 p.m. sun was quite hostile – it’s just outside the upper right corner – but my Lee compendium hood helped out. (Canyon Creek, Pioneer Mountains, Montana)

1/2 second seems to be the right speed for displaying the movement of the ocean waves on the shore regardless of the camera format. This is after the sun disappeared; a great time to get the ocean looking cold. 5yo daughter will do almost anything for the camera, including holding still for a moment when she'd rather be splashing. Owls Head ME after the wimped out hurricane earl. Speed graphic, 127 optar.

not much experience using efke pl 50 4x5 in caffenol-C; some minor streak areas. Probably need more agitation next time. I shot with tmax too and developed that in xtol and it looks perfect, but haven't scanned it yet.

Very captivating and draw-you-right-in scene! And a good job with the bright sun getting the shadows and highlights all properly cooperating.
