Spoonauger Falls, just off the Chattooga River Trail on an arduous spur with a ton of switchbacks.

Yes! This drains into the Chattooga, and there was warnings everywhere about flash floods. Apparently an issue for that river, which I did not know. It's been a long, dry summer so the river was very low, and photogenic.

Was looking to get the reflection of the waterfall with the shimmering/waves, which worked nicely, but I needed more foreground interest. It just wasn't there. Maybe soon the leaves will be in the water and can give me some movement/interest - this waterfall is 15 min. from my house.
very good Bryan

One shot like that is reward enough for a day's shooting.
Thanks Jim, I agree, but it just sucks that the trip was so limited due to the fire. I had a few more shots planned out in the Valley, unfortunately the smoke changed the scene/lighting so drastically I had to resort back to my trusty Minolta 7sII just so I didn’t leave with just that one shot.
