    Blue Streak

Now (after a re-edit...) one of my favourite film photos I've ever taken.

This was one of my sheets of Velvia which I managed to process incorrectly (incorrect mix of colour dev chemistry iirc, producing some funky and unhelpful colour shifts). Reprocessed now it does what I wanted. It also makes me want to shoot more colour film on large format - something I've not actually done since I returned from a Scotland trip to the Isle of Harris in September 2018, and then moved up to 10x8 B&W with the Chamonix a few months later. I'm now dying to try some Provia and Velvia on the Chamonix - I still have the TK, but the viewing and shooting experience on 8x10 is (if more nuts) just enhanced even more. The scenes on the ground glass are fantastic. I can now also develop 8x10 film at home of course so that's not an issue.

I think this is from a trip where I wild-camped on location. The advantage of doing this was that I could stay on location across the whole day until the sun was low, instead of having to pack up for the 4hr drive home again, and watch the light change around the cove, and discover a range of different scenes and subjects across the different tide levels.

    Thanks:
Yes, I mixed the colour dev wrongly I think and came up with a slide that had a massive cyan cast - bit like an inverted sheet of colour neg. A few layers in post processing sorted it out - but only after I came back to it after a number of months to revisit it.
