There is an area in Zion that I check every time I am there as the conditions are always changing. Unfortunately, they changed drastically this year due to flooding and the area has pretty much turned into a sand bar. Maybe time will restore it to a semblance of what it was in the past. Both were taken with 8x10 Velvia 50 using a Fuji 300 5.6.
    Real nice, Jim.

I feel like all my work has been crap lately, I blame the cold temps causing me to work too fast.

Inspired by an image posted by Maris Rusis in the "Abstracts" thread, I shot this image of a similar subject with my own interpretation.

Great photo! It's easy to overlook the small things in the water scenes.
I think this is a step up from your photos of trees and water. it enables stronger compositions and creativity. Keep it up, as long as the water is still.

    Thanks jp.
I feel like I "see" more in wide-angle but I do like the occasional intimate scene - when I can find one!

I'm a sucker for intimate landscapes. Big fan of Eliot Porter, etc...
