    Good idea Peter, never heard of it before with LF by making 2 image and combining them

    My tiny noggin only thought of a copy mask

    The two options that come to mind are:

    A split filter, which is a plus diopter cut in half.

    The other involves tow separate shots on two sheets of film and some heroic work in Photoshop.

    Note that the DSLR folks do stuff like that all the time.
