    Andrew,

Very interesting work on your website. If you don't mind me asking, what base did you do the portraits at, and are these people who have been deployed to Afghanistan?

    Thanks Guys. Much appreciated.

    r.e., I took these @ Patawawa Base(Oct 2007).
These soldiers are from one combat group. They were bused out to the airport over to Afghanistan after I took these shots(6hrs later).

Should call the base confirm their conditions...

    Cheers

    Great images everyone...

While refreshing my snowshoeing skills with my young son Alex in January of this year, we came across this scene upon our return to Emerald Lake Lodge, where the weather was just a tad cold measuring a wee bit past minus thirty degrees Celsius, and where the afternoon sun was setting quickly behind the mountains. We were desperately seeking some warm comfort within the lodge after our round trip trek across the frozen lake, but I could not resist capturing this image, and where Alex, the frosty soul that he was, tolerated his father's momentary request...

A small otter happened to be splashing about in the open water while we were there, forcing Alex and me to patiently wait for the water to become still again, adding to our very cold moments at the scene.
