ADOX CHS100 in 8x10''

Hi,
I finally managed, after almost despairing, to get a Sinar F2 8x10'' conversion kit off eBay and I'm now ready to see the big negatives
I've opted to try first some less expensive B&W film brands, while doing my acquaintance with this size. Therefore, I've a fresh box of ADOX CHS 100 sitting in the fridge.
- Any personal experience/recommendations regarding the development with this sized sheets?
- Recommended developer?
- How do you generally rate this film?

For the meantime, I'm going to try ID-11 since that's what I have prep and use routinely with B&W. Any suggestions or past experiences you would like to share with this combo? I'm going to use rotary processing (still have to check If an empty Jobo 2553 drum could do the trick, until I find a 3005 drum) or, as an alternative, tray process.

I just used Adox 25 8 x10 in Diafine just look for my post for the details. First time doing all this as well but I managed to get useable test negatives.

The fixer I used was from fotoimpex.de (Adotol).

congrats on your new achievement!
On my part, I've managed as well to pull successfully my first test neg last weekend. To be exact, it was only on my 2nd attempt, since I forgot to put the center tube on a Jobo 2553 I'm using to process 8x10 sheets on the 1st sheet, that is till I get a used 3005 expert drum. A foolish mistake I guess, but since I wouldn't need the spools used when processing 120 rolls, It never crossed my mind that the center tube was also essential for the drum to be light tight, as well as to be a support for the spools... maybe I was thinking on the lid of the 3010 drum, which is light tight, at the time
But after pulling the 1st sheet and seeing all the light leaks marks, I knew that something was wrong. After thinking for a while and becoming increasingly concerned that the bellows or holders I got used from eBay, could not be performing as they should, I remembered to check the makeshift drum and voilá... there it was! "but... the lid is not light tight like the 3010, crap!"
I've used Ilford rapid fixer and it worked well. The 1st sheet, although unusable, made me realize that I needed to be even more gentle with ADOX sheets, since there was a few scratches from inserting/removing the sheet from the holder. For the second sheet, I cut my finger nails even shorter and reviewed all my steps to deter any action that could produce scratches. It came clean
For my next step, I'm going to process the film in Rodinal or get me some pyrocat HD (still need to find a place that sells it ready or ships the chemicals in Europe) to increase sharpness.

Thanks for the tip Philippe. I'll check that shop.
Meanwhile, I've been doing my own scouting... and sent an e-mail to Retrophotographic to see if they can ship raw chemicals outside UK. PMK can also be had at Monochrom, Germany. So now it's a matter of comparing prices and take into account the shipping fees.
