    replacement ink syringe

I managed to break the syringe that came with my continuous inking system (not even sure the brand of the system ... was sold to me by cone with my piezo inks).

Is this a standard thing I can buy anywhere? Any recommendations on where to get it?

(it's the funky syringe used for sucking the air out of the ink lines when you replace the bottles)

Inksupply.com sells syringes for filling carts. They also sell a vacuum syringe if that is what you mean.

If it's just for sucking the air out of the lines, you might also look at the local drug store -- vitamin syringes and "flavor syringes" (the latter sold in "housewares" for 99 cents, the big 30 ml size) will work, as long as the tip will fit into the ink tube.
If a contact print at arm's length is too small to see, you need a bigger camera. :D

By any chance, do you know how to get HP cartridges to reset their chip? Online instructions said to cover up some of the identifying points on the circuit to get the printer to recognize teh cartridge as a new one. But it didn't work. Do you know anything about it?
    Thanks for any advice,
    Cathy
