Very nice Vaughn the tension created by everything protruding in from the edges of the frame fits the subject quite well.

Dave, I like this. For some reason I just keep looking at it.

To be honest, it is a picture of nothing, in the grand landscape scheme of things. But yet, it is a very nice spot, with some wonderful color going on.

I suffer from compositional blindness, (lousy photographer). You have inspired me.
Go buy some film, and release the magic.

Yes Dave that autumn colors is wonderful. For me it the tree that I like so much and the color compliments it.

Dave, fine series, especially the middle one. Really beautiful comp and color on that.

    Jonathan, Cpercy, David,

Thanks! I found Bryce Canyon difficult to photograph, and exposed very few sheets of film there. It reminded me of the Grand Canyon, in the sense that it is so completely overwhelming and fantastic that it's hard to figure out what to point your camera at. After awhile I kind of surrendered and just strolled around the rim watching the light change, which was rewarding in its own way. This was made in 2005-I'd love to go back.

    Re: Large Format Landscapes

I apologize if I've showed this one before, but for the people who haven't visited Bryce, it gives an idea as to the scale. If you could zoom into this picture, you would see that in the upper left hand corner (second light area down) there is a group of people staring over a railing. At this size they're like grains of sand! It would be cool to make a really big print of this. Anyway though, it's a humbling place for sure.
