    Thank you Alex!

It's an awesome feeling, after trying for days waiting for get the conditions to get right, when they finally turn out well!
Somehow standing there you feel you got the shot and that's for me like christmas for the little ones ...
Then again you're still begging that after development everything will turn out right ...

    Best,

I am the same EOTS, I 90% of the time get a feeling when everything has gone right... I almost know that I got what I wanted. That wait between capturing a shot and developing can be agony. For me, if I know that I got something impressive I will fire up the Jobo and have the slides in my hand that same day... If I'm not sure sometimes I will leave it up to a month before mixing up chems... If I had seen the scenes that you captured infront of my lens the processor would have been spinning the minute I got home!

Aaargh! Please stop posting such brilliant photos, it is making it difficult for me to keep coming back to this thread when I see images like this. Another tremendous photo to go with the last two.

    Re: Large Format Landscapes

County Clare in Ireland is home to over 2,000 forest owners, largely from farming backgrounds. The two main reasons why forestry is becoming popular in Clare are the levels of grant money and premium available and also the fact that forestry is seen as a better use of marginal land.

I visited one such forest to see what effect intensive foresting has on the landscape and at Illaunbawn, near Lahinch I could see that while foresting is obviously a welcome income boost in the long term for farming families there is no doubt but that there is an awful mess left behind once harvesting has begun. The devastation is Hiroshima-like with tree roots, branches and general timber debris left over.

    All pics taken with:
Calumet cc-4402 Wide Field Large Format Camera
    120mm Schneider Angulon
    F22 for 1/2 second
Fomapan 100 rated at 50 iso
Rodinal 1:100 semi stand for 30 mins
